ALOA advocates for older adults and older adult ministry within the organizational structures
of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Chruch--Missouri Synod.
In addition, ALOA educates its constituents, including church leaders, on issues related to older
adults in society. ALOA supports positions researched and recommended by Lutheran Social Services
in America and The National Council of Aging
ALOA is a community of elders (age 50+) rejoicing in God's grace and dedicated to the enjoyment of life through lifelong learning, personal spiritual growth and service to others.
Message to the Church:
"Older adults are today's church--not yesterday's"
Message to older adults:
"Stay active, serve your church and community!"
ALOA is a movement, committed to equiping mature adults, serving our communities, and to advocating within the Church on topics of concern for older adults.
